The Death of the Local Repairer?
Our thanks go to Circular Revolution who completed our Stakeholders Case Study and you’ll find at this link.
They helped us to visualise and focus on the Stakeholder Community we had already identified, to ensure we were on the right path pre-launch of our Digital Twin SaaS Model for Household Electrical Goods.
This case study focuses on EEESafe and LocalitEEE’s COM-B analysis of their SaaS model within a community-driven approach centered on repair and reuse. Its primary aim is to enhance consumer confidence in electrical repairs’ safety, curtail electrical waste, promote local social impact, deliver more local repair work and measure the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and waste prevention achieved by electrical repair stakeholders. The findings from this study can then be used to influence Electronics policies of United Nations member states through a network of certified and verified local repair professionals.
By reporting repairs via EEESafe’s Certified Appliance Repairers, their Appliance Safety Register and their Digital Twin/Passport Free Registration, consumers and stakeholders will become part of their own local Community Circular Economy model. With initial launch in the UK not far away, local community metrics can be provided for all for English and Welsh communities This also generates regular donations to people in need, which are ringfenced to the participating communities and voted by the community to individuals who need help where they live.
The Full COM-B model and data can be supplied to individual partners or investors who may be interested. Their is a growing need to monitor the earth’s resources, particularly when it comes to meet future demand for Critical Raw Materials and this data-set couild help inform Government Policies to ensure supply and demand can be met. See our POST on this problem and do follow our Social Media Links to stay informed.
A campaign launch is imminent to let Stakeholders and Citizens register their interest in the final launch.
Working with EEESafe and by Registering your Appliances with us, we can build infrastructure at local levels, within a Circular Economy Framework. Some of the benefits are:
- Making homes safer by using EEESafe Repairers and Prevent online sales of known Product Recalls/Counterfeits
- Increase Social and Environmental values and comparing metrics over hundreds of communities who engage by registering.
- Lower Repair costs by removing parts that are wanted by repairers and consumers and creating a local supply chain.
- Lower debt ratios by offering repaired goods locally and reducing the credit burden of online finance purchases.
- Delivering more local jobs instead of shipping goods away when you purchase new items.
- Prevent everything ending up in Recycling Centres where contractors are sold items to 3rd parties who take them miles away.
In our LocalitEEE Platform will be donating regular amounts of £100 to citizens who need it, providing you’ve Registered at least one Appliance and use our Electricals Marketplace.
