Safe Community Purchases

EEESafe has partnered with the Co-Op Electrical Group to supply New Appliances. They provide one hour delivery slots and extremely competitive prices. Because of our Evidenced Safety, Sustainability and Community Ethos, the Co-Op has agreed favourable terms with EEESafe, which means revenue can be earned by local hubs. Purchase HERE. Remember the Co-Op does not profit from Extended Warranties, unlike other major retailers.

Anyone can repair White Goods, so you need to be careful and purchase from the LocalitEEE Community Shop.  It’s important not to have homes on fire from Product Recalls or poor knowledge of Electrical Repair, if we’re to avoid scenes like the picture on the left.  All Appliance Purchases in the Shop are checked for Product Recalls, making purchases safer.  EEESafe Domestic Appliance Technicians are assessed for their knowledge and based in the Community, where possible. Buying from Local Authority Reuse Shops or organisations is unsafe, unless recognised by an independent Standard like EEESafe. Remember a PAT Test and Function Test does not mean an Appliance is safe to use. Read the notice EEESafe has supplied to UK Governments for its own flawed Reuse Protocol for Washing Machines.

The National LocalitEEE Hub and local ones also support local retailers and appliance repairers through their Free Business Directory. Any repair enquiries from consumers however will be passed to EEESafe Hubs or direct to EEESafe DATS where there is no Hub. EEESafe DAT’s will soon have their own Customer and Job records linked to their Directory Listing.

EEESafe Centres are audited annually and as such will demonstrate they only use EEESafe DAR’s for Appliance repairs.   LocalitEEE Hubs however will only recommend Trusted Community Businesses rated by Community Members.  LocalitEEE Hubs are regulated by their own Terms and Conditions and unless they employ their own Repair force, will recommend using EEESafe DATs for Appliance Repairs.  You’ll soon get to know the best and most trusted people in your community, because the community will highly rate those who work safely.

Community Members can Request community quotations for any job from their local Hub.  Those with the best ratings will likely get the work.  LocalitEEE works with Local agencies when Community Help requests are sent in, and forward them to Trusted partners where they exist.  These will likely be Local Support Groups and Social Services where an appropriate service is recommended.  Many will receive Badges to help identify highly trusted members.
