Its Electrical Safety Week here in the UK and we just wanted to ensure that our readers are doubly aware of this campaign.
Not only are households at risk of Appliance Product recalls, but there are many other dangers around the home that will be highlighted by many of our supporters sites.

This week we will also be in attendance at the Product Recall Conference in London, working and debating with many of the stakeholders in the sector on how to deal with the dangers of Product Recalls. Working with Electrical Safety First, the Chief Fire Officers Association and UK Trading standards we’ll be promoting our National Appliance Safety Register and the launch of our New Community Resource Efficiency Hubs.

You can register your own Household Appliances for a free check that its not part of a Product Recall, and then we’ll keep an eye on it for you should it become a Recall in the future. Register HERE.
Community Resource Efficiency Hubs
The first online system to check for Product Recalls when selling a Reused Electrical Appliance. More details at this PAGE.
With the location of 80% of all Product Recalls unknown, we plan to capture the details from the Refurbished and Second hand Electrical Appliances sales that are put on sale through the Online Community Hub Shop. Rather than take your old electrical appliances to the recycling centre, try and sell them through the Free Online Auctions or Free Classifieds that are integrated to the Community Hub.
A National Hub will be available to help raise awareness and promote local hubs. From next week though you’ll be able to raise funds for your favourite charity if you advertise your items through this hub. EEESafe are giving up to 75% various revenue streams if you join and use their Community Platform as a Consumer or Stakeholder. You Community Page will show just how much has been raised for each one and how many tonnes of waste has been prevented from going to landfill.
This is a great way to prevent waste, capture the location of product recalls and make every registered home a safer place to live. It’s also a great way for appropriate groups to raise funds for their own projects or take the full revenues by running their own hub.
