Following Whirlpool’s acquisition of the Hotpoint/Indesit brands, Indesit Company has closely reviewed the safety of its product portfolio. We congratulate them on issuing these recalls, although we are not certain how long they have known.
There are now 3 brands of Tumble Driers that are subject to a recall.
These are
- Hotpoint
- Indesit
- Creda
To find out if your model is affected you should read the official details and check if your mode is affected at the Safety Notice Web Page. Or call 0800 151 0905.
The company says that the models affected are still safe to use, but not unattended.
Owners of Registered Appliances on our National Appliance Safety register are currently being notified. If you want alerts when your Appliances become a Product Recall, then register them for FREE HERE.
Our Register is independent and we do not sell you anything. Research shows that 35% of consumers won’t register their appliances and one of those reasons are fear of being contacted for other purchases, but also as history shows some Manufacturers have informed the public too late on recalls to prevent fires and fatalities, there remains a mistrust.
