We are pleased to see Manufacturers following the lead of our National Appliance Safety Register, since the recent launch of their own. However from research conducted by Electrical Safety First, we know that the location of 80% of all Recalls are unknown, but it shows also that 35% of people fear having a marketing follow up and sales pitches to sell extended warranties.
EEESafe offers those who hold that fear, the option of alternative Free and independent National Appliance Safety Register. You can register at this link. We also offer a Competent Persons Card scheme who are assessed independent repairers operating in local community. History also shows that Manufacturers are slow to issue Product Recalls, some of which have caused fatalities. EEESafe will notify at the slightest hint of an official manufacturer concern.
EEESafe are also promoted by the Chief Officers Fire Association and the UK Association of Fire Investigators.
Launched this year are the EEESafe Community Resource HUBs, who have a Waste Prevention, Reuse & Repair and Social justice model. As well as lowering the appliance repair costs, and encouraging ethical purchase of New Appliances through our Retail Partner the Coop Electrical Group, we aim to create more jobs and regeneration in the local community.
All appliances sold through the Hubs Online Shops and Free Classified Ads, will be checked on the Recall Database before being supplied to a new owner. The Appliances will also be entered automatically into the EEESafe Register, affording owners free extra protection when new Recalls are announced.
Stay away from those Spam Emails and Phone calls by registering your appliances with EEESafe.
